Medical Weight Loss

Semaglutide: Semaglutide belongs to a drug class known as incretin mimetics, glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 Agonists). It mimics the GLP-1 hormone, released in the stomach in response to eating. Semaglutide works by increasing insulin release, lowering the amount of glucagon released, delaying stomach emptying, and reducing appetite. For that reason, parts of the brain suppress your appetite and signal you to feel full. When used in conjunction with diet and exercise, it can cause significant weight loss. Tirzepatide: Tirzepatide belongs to a class of medications known as GLP-1/GIP agonist- glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists/GLP-1 Ras and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptors. Tirzepatide works by mimicking the GLP-1 and GIP hormones that are naturally secreted by the intestine after a meal, which prompts insulin secretion. It also reduces appetite by slowing down the time it takes the stomach to empty and interacting with areas in the brain harboring GLP-1 receptors to signal satiety. It works for weight loss by decreasing appetite and slowing the movement of food from the stomach into the small intestine, which may make you feel full more quickly and for a longer period. Tirzepatide should be used with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

Men’s Health

Testosterone replacement therapy: Testosterone is a sex hormone that plays important roles in the body. As men age, testosterone levels gradually decline causing changes in sexual function, physical changes, and emotional changes. Symptoms of hypogonadism (low-T) include: low motivation, self-confidence, low libido, erectile dysfunction, depression, weight gain, low sexual stamina, increased belly fat, muscle loss, fatigue, etc. Testosterone replacement can help improve athletic performance, gym performance, cardiac performance, sexual stamina, increase lean muscle mass, improve sleep, and improve mood and focus.

B12 Injections

Lipotropic B12 injections are supplements used for fat loss. These are intended to complement other aspects of a weight loss regimen, including exercise and a low-calorie diet. These injectables consist of various vitamins, nutrients, and other ingredients purportedly used to aid in weight loss, preserve lean muscle mass, burn fat, speed up your metabolism, and detoxify the body. Ingredients in these shots include: Methionine: an essential amino acid and one of the building blocks for proteins. Inositol: useful for cellular signaling, growth and increased fat metabolism. Choline: is s an essential nutrient involved in many different processes, such as cell structure and messaging, fat burning, transport, and metabolism. Methylcobalamin: is the active form of vitamin B12: necessary for RBC production, neurological function, DNA production, energy production, fat and protein metabolism

Women's Health

A woman’s reproductive cycle can affect her health at all stages of her life. For example, estrogen levels lead to many of the physical changes that a woman experiences during adolescence, adulthood and childbearing, and after menopause. For most women, menopause begins in their late 40s and early 50s, and is characterized by a full year without menstruation. At this time, the hormone levels of progesterone and estrogen fluctuate, leading to symptoms like fatigue, hot flashes, insomnia, and mood swings. These changes can be a risk factor for depression and physical fatigue, so caring for yourself mentally and physically is essential. Most prescribed medications include; Urology medications and those supporting urinary tract health, Estrogen therapy or Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), Medications to address hormone imbalances (i.e. thyroid medications). If you find yourself in need of a medication to alleviate symptoms of menopause, improve sexual health, and improve your overall quality of life, you may schedule a consultation.
